Where can I download free, safe ebooks?

I badly want to read the Samurai Girl book 5, the book of the flame. It’s proving real hard to find it in a nearby bookshop and so I’ve been browsing for a long time to get it online. Is there any safe website that offers free ebooks?

try,
i hope this helps……………….
The Gutenberg Project has tens of thousands of books available for free download in pdf
….
If, by chance, there is something you can’t find there… then one of my English professors gave me this site, which is basically the same thing and was put together by the University of Pennsylvania:

All copyrighted material is illegal to download. Here are some sites that have non-copywrited material for reading:

But I would try the Gutenberg Project first. I think their collection is more extensive.
You can’t get it free but you can get it inexpensive. Anything after 1922 is under copyright so unless the author wants to give it away for free, it is theft.
If the book is protected by copyright, any “free”, unauthorized copy will be an illegal copy. Try this:=&templatebody=&templatefoot=&match=fulltext&limitcategory=&type=store&searchtype=and&searchfields=brand%7Cmodel%7Ckeywords%7Cmisc11&query=samurai+girl
Have you tried going to your local library? If they don’t have a copy they can usually acquire one for you via an inter-library loan. It may take a bit of time but it’s the best way to go. Ebooks in general are not free so most, if not all copies you find will be illegal ones.
