Is it possible, or is it likely to be possible for an average person to read eBooks on Nintendo DS?

There are two gadgets I’m getting increasingly and increasingly wistful for — a Nintendo DS (or Gameboy Advance SP, perhaps), and something to read eBooks on.
I saw that you can surf the net on a DS recently, and was wondering about the potential for reading ebooks on it. I’d love to be able to just buy one “gadget” and have one less thing to pack around. If it’s not, I’ll probably just get the ebookwise and a couple of gameboy advance sp’s.

You can buy some flash cards for the DS that have the functions built in to read eBooks, and if not, there is homebrew software out there for the flash cards that can read them. The problem with the DS is that the screens are fine for playing games, but I personally would like something with more screen space if I were to be reading constantly. Then again, I am nearsighted.
Also, I’d just recommend that at this point in time you should just spring for the DS (lite) if you can afford it, since it plays DS games and Gameboy Advance games.
