It depends on what device you want to use to read them. I prefer (it is where I buy all of my books). They keep your purchases forever, so you can always go back to your bookshelf and re-download any book you have purchased. I also like the eReader program. I read my books on my Treo 755. The eReader program is available for Windows, Windows Mobile, Palm (of course), and Symbian (Blackberry). It is the best way to read IMHO.
Another one to try is the MobiPocket Reader (www.mobipocket.com) which has a large selection of books as well, and it runs on pretty much every platform. It is what the Amazon Kindle uses, but it uses a different encryption key, so you cannot buy a Kindle book and read it with MobiPocket.
Good luck and welcome to ebooks.
I have been happy with and with Baen Books at and
I sell ebooks from 0.99p sometimes lower from two auction sites. All come with resale rights or master resale rights so you can sell them on.
You can visit my auction stores at:

Hope that helps.
Alinar Publishing ( )has some of the lowest ebook prices I’ve seen. They also have quite a few Free ebooks (some full length novels) available.
There is a tremendous variety of eBooks on eBay. I think you will find a good selection at the eBay store below. Hope this helps.
