Amazon announced their new Kindle. Thinking of getting one but I have a load of pdf files. Can I load my own pdfs onto the Kindle 2, without any “service” charge?

I don’t want to sound like a dummy but I was thinking about getting a digital reader and was on the Sony site and I seen to the side some additional service plan prices and was wondering if these were costs to have the book or were like warranty prices? Just curious. Thanks.

I download Ebooks to my computer, and use Windows Media Player to listen to them. I would like to be able to take theses stories with me, when I go walking or riding in the car. i need to have “book mark” ability and CD quality playing. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks, Cobra

They seem cool but sometimes things like that arent as good as they seem. If you have one do you like it? What kinds of books do they have on the ebook store? What kinds of features does it have?

I heard the Sony Reader has anti-piracy measures that prevent you from reading ebooks from torrent sites. I would be very much interested to know if there are other readers that don’t have such limitations. I am interested in a purely hypothetical capacity, obviously.
Just to clarify, not talking about software like Adobe or Foxit I mean an actual handheld electronic ebook reader.
